Purple Balloon, 2019

Sculpture

Material (plaster, balloons and dye pigment)

Exploring material fusion with elements considered to be flexible, delicate, sturdy and static for further experimentation in ephemeral spaces.

Here I observed the relationship between dried plaster and balloons, as well as the deterioration from the balloons over 4 weeks.

They ended up taking the forms of scalded, shrivelled and saggy skin which was both disappointing and intriguing.
